The chambre d’hôtes is now open and receiving guests, and we’ll be here all summer to make sure your stay with us is as comfortable and exciting as possible. Richard is a keen cook, so will be whipping up delicious lunches and dinners for guests, as well as continental breakfasts. And Sandy will be on hand to concoct and serve his delicious cocktails in the evenings.
We have all sorts of improvements planned for the house, suites and garden, and we’ll be launching a new website shortly. Do let us know if you have any questions, and we look forward to welcoming you here soon!
About Maison des Palmiers
Maison des Palmiers is situated in the beautiful town of Bize Minervois in the heart of the wine growing region of the Languedoc in the south of France.
The property dates back to 1850 and has retained many of the original features such as the fabulous floor tiles, panelled doors, marble staircase and ornate ceilings. It was originally the local notaires house and is located in the heart of the village.
There is a lovely garden where you can sit in the shade of the trees or sunbathe by the swimming pool. The Languedoc area averages 300 days of sunshine per year so there is an excellent chance of enjoying your breakfast in the garden and if not we have a conservatory and also a dining room as an alternative.
There is also a pretty guest lounge with the original fireplace and brocade wallpaper. Here you will find a place to relax with the television, books, wifi and board games. Complimentary tea and coffee are available throughout your stay. Unfortunately we are unable to accommodate pets of any kind.
If you are attending a wedding in the area we are well situated for Chateau de Cabezac, Chateau d’Agel and also Chateau de Puits es Pratx in Ginestas. all wonderful venues.
